Common Name: American house spider
Family: Theridiidae
Scientific Name: Parasteatoda tepidariorum
Size: 8 mm
Gender: female
I find this spider mostly outside the house both low and high. They are common under eves and often several brownish, papery eggs sacs can be seen. I also find them in tree crotches or holes. Very common and are more easily seen than Steatoda.
