Burrow doors, view 4, if present, are usually located on sunny hillsides. Females will be found only if their burrows have been significantly disturbed or destroyed. Males can be found walking around during the mating season. When disturbed, the spider holds the door closed with her fangs: note in view 5 the two fang holes in the center of the image.
