The predatory behavior of the bolas spiders is unique and is worth watching on YouTube. Bolas spiders are rare and usually found by noticing their cluster of egg sacs.. On several occasions we found them under the roofs of parkland kiosks (see view 6: famous UCI biologist observing cluster). View 2 shows usual moth prey and view 3 an exit hole in one of the many egg sacs.
